OUR MISSION

The mission of Intermountain Trails is to support sustainable trails (non-motorized and motorized), diverse healthy plant habitats, community engagement, and recreation management.

Intermountain Trails serves as a liaison between hikers, bikers, riders, packers and land managers, municipalities, and communities tasked with managing resources.

TRAIL CREW

The Trail Crew builds, improves, and maintains sustainable trails in forest and foothill areas throughout Davis, Toole, and Utah Counties, and along the Wasatch Front.

PLANTS CREW

The Plants Crew scouts every official trail, campground, and picnic area, and prioritizes mitigation measures based on species, location, and impact. Using a combination of mechanical control (hand pulling, weed wacking, and mowing) and chemical control (using watershed approved herbicides that have proven effective on each species), invasive species are systematically eradicated or managed.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Intermountain Trails offers opportunities for individuals and groups to come out and work with crews in a volunteer capacity. This is a great way to give back to the trails you love.  Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering on trails or with restoration projects, or if you have ideas about trail projects.
